The Russian military has launched 973 air and artillery strikes across 45 settlements in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, confirmed the intensity of the attacks. The strikes have resulted in four fatalities and left 28 individuals injured.
Reports indicate significant damage to residential areas, civilian vehicles, and critical infrastructure throughout the region. Local authorities continue to assess the full extent of the destruction as emergency services work to clear debris and provide aid to the affected population.
The Zaporizhzhia region, located in southeastern Ukraine, has remained a critical frontline area since the beginning of the full-scale conflict. Its proximity to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant—the largest in Europe—has frequently drawn international concern regarding regional security and the potential for humanitarian crises due to ongoing military operations.
