Qazaxıstanda “Adilet” partiyası seçkilərdə böyük üstünlüklə qalib gəlib

In the snap parliamentary elections held in Kazakhstan, the pro-government "Adilet" party has secured a decisive victory with a significant margin. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, preliminary exit poll results indicate that the party has garnered between 70 and 72 percent of the vote. Voter turnout was reported to be over 74 percent.

These elections mark the first parliamentary vote held under the country's new constitution. Under the updated political system, Kazakhstan has transitioned from a bicameral parliament to a unicameral legislative body, a move aimed at streamlining the legislative process and enhancing governance efficiency.

The election results are expected to further consolidate the political position of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and provide a mandate for his ongoing course of political and economic reforms in the country. Following the vote, President Tokayev announced that the country's first vice president would be appointed within the coming week. However, he did not provide clarification regarding his potential participation in future presidential elections.

Kazakhstan, the largest economy in Central Asia, has been undergoing significant political modernization since 2022. These reforms are part of a broader strategy to decentralize power and increase public participation in the political life of the nation, reflecting the country's efforts to modernize its state institutions.
