The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is implementing a unified museum card project designed to facilitate access to the shared cultural heritage of member nations.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev announced the initiative during the informal summit of the organization held in Turkistan, Kazakhstan. According to Omuraliev, the preservation, promotion, and transmission of the common Turkic heritage to future generations remain among the organization's primary priorities.

"Currently, the unified museum card project is being implemented. This project provides the opportunity to visit museums across the Turkic world countries with a single Turkic museum card," the Secretary General stated. The initiative is expected to streamline tourism and foster deeper cultural ties among the citizens of the member states.

The Organization of Turkic States, which includes Azerbaijan as a founding member, has significantly expanded its cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism in recent years. This project aligns with the broader "Turkic World 2040" vision, which seeks to integrate the cultural and historical resources of member nations to create a unified tourism space. Azerbaijan has been a vocal supporter of such initiatives, hosting numerous Turkic-themed cultural events and contributing to the preservation of historical monuments within the region.
