Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, has held a meeting with Mehmet Samsar, Director General for Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, and Turkish Ambassador Birol Akgun.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the meeting was highlighted in an official social media post by the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan. During the discussions, the parties focused primarily on the further strengthening of bilateral relations and a comprehensive exchange of views on regional processes currently unfolding in the South Caucasus.

The meeting underscores the high-level strategic partnership between Baku and Ankara, which has intensified significantly following the Shusha Declaration. As Azerbaijan continues its reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories of Garabagh, Türkiye remains a key ally in ensuring regional peace and stability. Such diplomatic consultations are part of a regular framework aimed at coordinating foreign policy initiatives and enhancing economic and security cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
