İran Dohada danışıqların keçiriləcəyi barədə xəbərləri təkzib etdi

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has officially denied reports claiming that technical consultations between Iran and the United States are scheduled to take place in Doha this week.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the statement comes in response to recent speculation circulated by various international media outlets regarding potential diplomatic engagements.

In a statement to journalists, Gharibabadi clarified that no technical meetings at the working group level have been planned for this week. He emphasized that while diplomatic channels remain open, the specific reports concerning Doha are unfounded.

"Consultations with Qatar, including those regarding the monitoring of the other party's implementation of obligations, are continuing in the normal course. However, the information circulated in some media outlets about technical negotiations between working groups in Doha does not reflect the truth," Gharibabadi stated.

The diplomatic relationship between Tehran and Washington remains complex, characterized by ongoing tensions and intermittent indirect communications often mediated by third-party nations. Qatar frequently plays a significant role as an intermediary in regional diplomacy, hosting various international delegations and facilitating dialogue on sensitive geopolitical issues. Despite the frequent speculation surrounding potential direct or indirect talks, both nations maintain strict official stances regarding the conditions for engagement and the status of existing international agreements.
