President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized that the TRIPP project, also known as the "Trump Route," represents a significant milestone for regional cooperation, noting that Azerbaijan has commenced the export of petroleum products to Armenia. Speaking during a joint press statement with US Vice President James David Vance, the head of state highlighted that the removal of transit restrictions through Azerbaijan marks a new era of trade and economic engagement in the South Caucasus.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev stated that these developments signify the beginning of a broader collaborative framework. "One of the most important results and one of the efforts shown by the administration of US President Donald Trump in our region is the TRIPP project, the Trump Route project," the President added, underlining the strategic weight of the initiative in reshaping regional logistics and energy corridors.
The TRIPP (Trump Route) project is a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing connectivity and energy security across Eurasia, designed to streamline the movement of goods and resources between East and West. This development comes as Azerbaijan continues to lead regional integration efforts following the restoration of its territorial integrity. By facilitating energy exports and opening transit routes, the project seeks to foster long-term stability in the South Caucasus through economic interdependence and the modernization of the Middle Corridor infrastructure.
