Conference on Heydar Aliyev and cultural values held in Baku

A conference titled "National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan's cultural values" has been held in Baku, focusing on the preservation and promotion of the country's rich heritage.

The Ministry of Culture informed Operative Information Center-OMM that the event highlighted the historical significance of the National Leader's vision for the nation. Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister of Culture Saadat Yusifova stated that for National Leader Heydar Aliyev, national and spiritual values were not merely a heritage to be protected, but a fundamental source of strength that confirmed the nation's existence and guided it through historical challenges toward the future.

The speakers, including Elbay Gasimzade, Chairman of the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan, Professor Fuad Mammadov, Chairman of the "Simurq" Azerbaijan Cultural Association, and Haji Ismayilov, Chairman of the Union of Theater Workers, emphasized the National Leader's exceptional role in the development of Azerbaijani culture. They noted that his policy prioritized the mother tongue, literature, and national traditions as the pillars of modern state-building and spiritual development. Other participants, such as People's Poet Vahid Aziz and People's Artist Abdul Mahmudov, shared insights into the purposeful strategy implemented to promote Azerbaijan's cultural identity on a global scale.

Heydar Aliyev, who led Azerbaijan during both the Soviet period and as the President of the independent Republic, is widely credited with laying the foundation for the country's modern cultural and social policy. His initiatives often focused on the international recognition of Azerbaijani arts and the restoration of historical monuments, ensuring that the nation's identity remained resilient during periods of significant political transition. The event concluded with an artistic program featuring musical compositions favored by the National Leader.
