The Board of Directors of ACF Fiorentina has officially announced the appointment of Giuseppe B. Commisso as the club's new president. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the decision was formalized following the recent passing of his father, Rocco Commisso, who had led the Italian football club since 2019.
Giuseppe Commisso, who previously held key administrative roles within the organization, will now spearhead the club's leadership to ensure stability in ownership and strategic direction. Alongside his appointment, the board confirmed Marco Stefano as Chief Executive Officer and Alessandro Ferrari as General Manager. Additionally, Catherine Commisso, Giuseppe’s mother, has joined the Board of Directors to maintain the family's active involvement in the club's governance.
In an official statement, Giuseppe Commisso expressed his commitment to the club's legacy:
"It is a great honor for me to lead Fiorentina. I am grateful to my mother, Catherine, for agreeing to join the Board – this is a continuation of our family's commitment started by my father, Rocco. We will work to strengthen the club while respecting its values, history, and the deep connection with our fans."
ACF Fiorentina, based in Florence, is one of Italy's most historic football clubs, having been founded in 1926. The transition in leadership comes at a pivotal time for the "Viola," as the club continues its efforts to compete at the highest levels of Serie A and European competitions.
