Baku is set to host the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, a major international event dedicated to fostering global understanding and peace.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry of Culture has released details regarding the upcoming event. Scheduled to take place from October 27-29, the forum will be organized through a joint partnership between the Ministry of Culture, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and UN Tourism.
The forum is a key component of the "Baku Process" for intercultural dialogue, an initiative launched by President Ilham Aliyev in 2008. While the forum itself was established in 2011, this year marks the 15th anniversary of the broader Baku Process initiative. The platform has gained significant international prestige over the years, serving as a bridge between diverse cultures and civilizations.
The Baku Process is officially recognized by the United Nations as a leading global platform for promoting intercultural dialogue and international cooperation. By bringing together heads of state, ministers, and representatives from international organizations, the forum aims to address contemporary global challenges through the lens of cultural diplomacy and mutual respect. Azerbaijan continues to strengthen its role as a global hub for multiculturalism, leveraging its unique geographical and historical position to facilitate dialogue between the East and the West.
