According to the reports, more than 20 spouses of heads of state and government will be invited to the Cankaya Palace during the NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will be held in Ankara on July 8.
It is reported that Turkey's First Lady, Emine Erdogan, will personally welcome the guests and hold a roundtable meeting with them on the topic of "Children, Technology, and Security: Protecting the Future Generation."
The main goal of the meeting is to strengthen international cooperation against the risks children may face in the digital environment. Participants are expected to discuss topics such as digital literacy, ethical approaches, and the protection of children's rights.
Following the event, Emine Erdogan will host a special luncheon for the guests. The event will feature examples of Turkish cuisine and an exhibition of handicrafts reflecting traditional craftsmanship and cultural heritage.
NATO summits serve as a critical platform for member states to address global security challenges and foster diplomatic ties. By organizing such high-level side events, host nations like Turkey aim to promote cultural diplomacy and facilitate informal dialogue among the spouses of world leaders, further strengthening international cooperation on pressing social and technological issues.
